  • Homes must be located within incorporated Naperville.

About the Home Energy Savings Program

For a limited time, the City of Naperville is offering qualified residents a unique opportunity to improve their home’s energy efficiency. By identifying and implementing steps to make their home more energy efficient, homeowners can lower the cost of their monthly bills and help the environment by using fewer resources to run everyday items, such as appliances, furnaces and air conditioners.

Thanks to funding from the Department of Energy, through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), the City of Naperville created the Home Energy Savings Program. Through the program, the City of Naperville has provided over 400 residents a FREE home energy evaluation by a certified energy technician to date. In November 2010, the City of Naperville announced Phase II of the program, which will be open to an additional 100 residents.

The home energy evaluation identifies improvements to make the home more energy efficient. In addition, eligible residents qualify for a 50 percent reimbursement from the City of Naperville for energy improvements, up to a maximum of $1,500.
