Description
The City of Naperville received funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development through its Community Development Block Grant to develop a Home Accessibility Program. Grants are awarded for single-family home modifications to increase accessibility to mobility impaired individuals. Up to $4,000 will be given to each eligible applicant until all funds have been allocated. Applicants are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis
Home Accessibility improvements include (but are not limited to):
- wheelchair ramps
- elevators
- lifts
- stair glides
- door openers
- gates
- bathroom modifications
- kitchen modifications
Who Qualifies?
Eligibility Requirements:
- Own your home
- Home must be located within the corporate limits of Naperville
- Home must be your primary residence
- Meet the income requirements
- Improvements within the scope of the Home Accessibility Program
