Overview
On August 28, 2009, Governor Quinn signed Public Act 096-0778, which served to adopt the 2009 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC). Pursuant to this Act, Naperville is mandated to enforce the provisions of the 2009 IECC for residential construction.
Effective Date
In order to allow adequate time for builders/architects/homeowners to account for these changes, the City of Naperville will begin reviewing residential construction documents for the 2009 IECC effective on January 1, 2010.
