What Residents and Businesses Can Expect During A Smart Meter Installation New
Starting in January 2012, the City will be visiting homes and businesses to replace existing electric meters with new smart meters. Please view this photo gallery of a smart meter installation at City Manager Doug Krieger’s home to get an idea of what you can expect during your meter replacement.

November 2, 2011 - Naper Homestead Ribbon Cutting 
November 2, 2011, marked the grand opening of the Joseph and Almeda Naper Homestead historic interpretive site at the corner of Mill Street and Jefferson Avenue.

October 18, 2011 - Greene Valley Trail Link Ribbon Cutting 
On October 18, 2011, representatives from the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County, the City of Naperville, the Naperville Park District and the Lisle Township Highway Department celebrated the Greene Valley Trail Link Ribbon Cutting.

October 11, 2011 - Chevy Volt Electric Vehicle Presentation 
On Tuesday, October 11, Naperville Mayor A. George Pradel enthusiastically accepted a Chevy Volt electric vehicle loan at the Naperville Auto Test Track courtesy of Dan Wolf Chevrolet of Naperville.

September 27, 2011 - West Branch Riverway Trail Groundbreaking Ceremony 
Representatives from the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County, the City of Naperville and the Naperville Park District gathered together to celebrate the groundbreaking of the West Branch Riverway Trail.

August 12, 2011 - Central Park Renovation Project Completion Ceremony and Plaque Unveiling 
One sentence description: On August 11, 2011, representatives from the City of Naperville, Naperville Park District and Naperville Municipal Band, as well as former Illinois State Representative Jim Meyer, gathered together during the Municipal Band’s last concert of the summer season to celebrate the completion of renovations to Central Park.

July 15, 2011 - Millennium Wall Donor Plaques Dedication 
The Riverwalk Commission and the Naperville Riverwalk Foundation invited the public to attend the dedication of the Millennium Wall donor plaques on Friday, July 15 at the Riverwalk Amphitheater.

July 6, 2011 - Joseph Naper Homestead Groundbreaking 
Mayor A. George Pradel, 24th District State Senator Kirk Dillard, 48th District State Representative Michael Connelly, 96th District State Representative Darlene Senger, and representatives from the Naperville City Council, Naper Settlement and the Naperville Heritage Society joined together on Wednesday, July 6 to break ground on the Naper Homestead historic interpretive site.

The Naperville Police Department and the Naperville Police Association of Chaplains hosted the annual Peace Officer Memorial Observance on Wednesday, May 18 at the Naperville Public Safety Plaza.
