Ribfest 2011
Presented by the Exchange Club of Naperville, in cooperation with the City of Naperville and the Naperville Park District, Ribfest will be held July 1-4, 2011 in Knoch Park in Naperville. The Park will be open daily from noon to 10 p.m.

Admission:
Tickets to Ribfest are general admission to be used July 1-4, 2011.
Ribfest Tickets are sold on the basis of being used on any of the event days. Please understand when purchasing a ticket that they do not guarantee park entry on a specific day and the park may close due to reaching capacity or for any other public safety reason.
A no re-entry policy after 7 p.m. will be in place.

Park Capacity:
The gates of Ribfest may close at any time due to crowd density or public safety. This decision will be made by the City of Naperville Police Department in partnership with Ribfest leadership.
The decision to close for public safety is based on the ability of people to get out of the park in case of emergency.

Admission
Admission is $12 for adults. Children 11 and under will be admitted free.

Tickets can also be purchased for $9 prior to the event at the following Naperville Park District locations:

Pepsi $1 off cans are not redeemable at these locations. These cans are only redeemable at the gates on the day of the event.
Remote Parking and Shuttle Locations
SHUTTLE SERVICE ON ALL DAYS OF RIBFEST Free public shuttles serving Ribfest run to and from several remote parking locations throughout Naperville. Shuttles run continuously on all days from 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Following is a map of all Ribfest Shuttle parking locations:
Accessible Parking, Drop Off and Entrances
Accessible Event Parking The primary parking for vehicles with a disabled person parking placard is located at All Saints Academy on the north side of Aurora between River Road and West Street. Shuttle buses will be available from this location and will drop guests off near the entrance to Ribfest at the corner of West Street and Martin Avenue.
Limited accessible parking is also available at the Municipal Center parking deck. There is no shuttle service from these accessible parking locations to the Ribfest grounds.
Accessible parking is available in all of the parking lots and parking decks throughout Downtown Naperville as well as on some of the streets.
Accessible Drop-Off Area Vehicles with a disabled person parking placard may drop-off persons with disabilities and their companions at the drop-off area located on the East side of West street, at the northeast corner of West Street and Martin Avenue. This drop-off location will be available on all days of the event except July 4.
Accessible Entrances Persons with disabilities and their families may enter at any of the park's main gate entrances.
On-Site Assistance
Identify anyone with a radio/or a red Ribfest shirt to inquire about assistance to the accessible seating at the stage areas.

Motorcycle Parking
Designate motorcycle parking is available at Ribfest:
Please note: No entrance or exit is permitted from 7:45 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on July 4.
Edward Hospital Parking Restrictions
Edward Hospital has announced the following measures that will be in effect during Ribfest:
- There is NO Ribfest event parking at Edward Hospital.
- The entrance/exit to the Edward Hospital campus from Martin Avenue will be closed from 11 a.m. Friday, July 1, through 11 p.m. Monday, July 4.
- The north entrance to the hospital campus from Washington Street will be closed from 11 a.m. Friday, July 1, to 11 p.m. Monday, July 4.
- The entrance/exit to the hospital campus from West Street will be closed from 9 a.m.to 11 p.m. on July 4.
- The south entrance (Osler Drive) to the hospital campus from Washington Street will remain open throughout Ribfest for patient and ambulance traffic.
Surface Lot B, on the south side of the hospital campus, as well as the grass areas along Osler Drive, will be open for viewing fireworks only. People may begin reserving spots at 7 p.m. No vehicles will be allowed.
When the fireworks end on July 4, all vehicle traffic on the hospital campus will be held until pedestrian traffic clears the area (approximately 30 minutes).
Ribfest attendees should also note:
- Alcoholic beverages are prohibited on the hospital campus.
- Fireworks of any kind are prohibited on the hospital campus.
Street Closures and Parking Restrictions
There will be several road closures and no parking zones in effect for the duration of the event, as well as additional closures and restrictions on Monday, July 4. The details regarding dates, times and locations of these closures and parking restrictions can be found on the following color-coded maps:
Fireworks
One of the largest and most magnificent displays in the Chicagoland area, the Ribfest/Fourth of July fireworks show runs for almost 30 minutes straight and is sure to wow the most fervent fireworks aficionados.
Naperville's Independence Day fireworks extravaganza will take place in Knoch Park on Monday, July 4, at 9:30 p.m. Residents can also tune into 95.9 FM The River to hear a musical simulcast during the fireworks show.
Please remember, the park may close at or around the free entry period due to capacity. Come early!
Municipal Services
The Naperville Municipal Center will be closed on Monday, July 4 in observance of the Independence Day holiday.
Curbside garbage and recycling collection will be altered due to the Fourth of July holiday. Collection will be delayed by one day from the normal schedule.
Distracted Driving Simulator
If you would like to experience the AAA Distracted Driving Simulator or have a driver in your household realize the dangers of in-car distractions, visit members of the Naperville Police Department at Ribfest on July 1, July 2 and July 3 from noon to 6 p.m. at Knoch Park. Stop by even if you don’t have time to drive the simulator and sign a pledge promising you will not text and drive. Your participation can help reverse the trend of distracted driving by heightening your sense of awareness and sharpening your driving skills.
