About the Fund
The strength of Naperville flows from a variety of community organizations and opportunities, which provide a well-rounded quality of life. The City of Naperville encourages celebrations of community and cultural opportunities that focus on the heritage, diversity and character of the city. In support of these activities, the City of Naperville offers funds, derived from the city-wide 1% Food and Beverage Tax, for the purpose of aiding eligible organizations in providing new and continued cultural experiences. The Special Events & Cultural Amenities (SECA) Fund Grant began in 2005. Utilizing a commited revenue source tied to culture and events, the grant facilitates a beneficial economic cycle, as depicted below.
