Time Restrictions
- Monday through Saturday only 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- No Peddling/Soliciting/Tagging allowed on Sundays, State or Federal Holidays
- Only Motorized Food vendors may peddle on Sunday between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.
- Downtown Food vendors may peddle Monday through Sunday 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. and 10 p.m. – 2 a.m.
No Peddling or Soliciting Signs Residents may post a “NO PEDDLING OR SOLICITING PERMITTED ON PREMISES” sign, or pick up a free sticker at the City Clerk’s office or Police Department.
Documents Required
Peddlers/Solicitors
- Drivers license or State ID
- 2 passport sized photos
Motorized Food Vendors
- Valid driver’s license
- 2 passport sized photos
- Commercial Liability Insurance Certificate
- DuPage Co. and Will Co. Health Department papers
Tag Days
- Drivers license or State ID
- Commercial Liability Insurance Certificate
- Articles of Incorporation Documents
Downtown Food Vendors shall be subject to selection through an annual bidding process; details regarding the bidding process, including eligibility, shall be published in the fall/winter preceding the calendar year in which the downtown food licenses will be awarded.
Fees
Peddlers/Solicitors
- $20 application fee
- $20 cash deposit for safety vest upon issue
Motorized Food Vendors
- $100 yearly company fee
- $20 application fee
Downtown Food Vendors
- $225 payable towards SSA 21/22
- $50 application fee

Residents Should Look For
All Door-to-Door Solicitors should be wearing the city issued vest as the last layer of clothing and a photo ID badge to be worn at all times:

Ice Cream Trucks are issued an Ice Cream Cone that should be affixed to the back window of the truck, a paper license that should be affixed to the walk up window and the ID badge should be worn by the driver at all times:

Downtown Food Vendors are issued a sticker as well that should be affixed to the cart and a ID badge that should be worn at all times:
 
 

Complaints/Issues
If you see a non-licensed solicitor in your neighborhood, please report it to the Naperville Police Department at (630) 420-6147.
